Information

Absolutely! La Liga has divisions for all levels, including beginners. If you’re ready to learn, improve, and have fun, this is the place for you!

Nope! Registration is individual. This is a solo-player format where everyone competes individually, even though games are played in doubles. (Kind/Queen of The beach format).

You don’t sign up with a partner – Each match, you’ll be paired with different teammates and face different opponents.

Scoring is individual – You earn points based on your double’s performance, but only your personal score matters for rankings.

Rotation system – After each match, partners switch. The goal is to see who performs best regardless of teammates.

Finals – After all preliminary matches, the players with the most wins/points advance to the finals, where the top performers battle it out for the crown!

Men’s Division A – Elite players with the highest level of experience.

Men’s Division B – Experienced players with solid skills.

Men’s Division C – Players with some experience, still developing their game.

Men’s Division D – Beginners who are just starting out or are learning the skills.

Women’s Division A – The most skilled and experienced female players.

Women’s Division B – Players with some experience and a developing skill set.

Women’s Division C – Beginners who are new to the sport or are learning the skills.

All divisions are designed to create balanced and competitive matchups, ensuring a great experience for players of all levels!

No. To ensure a more enjoyable experience and longer rallies for beginners, Female C and Male D divisions have modified rules to help new players ease into the game.

These adjustments may include changes in serving, ball control allowances, and rally-friendly adaptations to encourage learning and fair play.

Click the link in our bio and secure your spot! But hurry limited spots available!

  • $50 per stage – If you sign up for 2 or more stages at once (Offer valid until April 1st).
  • $55 per stage – If you register up to 10 days before the event.
  • $60 per stage – If you register within the last 10 days before the event.

Once registration is closed, we will hold a live draw on our Instagram to reveal the groups each player is placed in.
This will also determine match schedules and court assignments, so stay tuned!
event.

Good vibes, energy, PLAIN BLACK SHORTS and water to keep you hydrated.

Of course! La Liga is more than a tournament – it’s a community event.
Bring your people and enjoy the day with us by the sand. All ages are welcome.

La Liga takes place once a month, and each division has the opportunity to compete in three stages throughout the year.
Your exact game dates will depend on which division you are placed in.

All updates will be shared through Instagram and a WhatsApp group. (If you don’t have the app, we highly recommend downloading it.)

Once you are placed in a division, you will also be added to the corresponding WhatsApp group, where you’ll receive all important information related to your division.

We will also share updates on Instagram, but the best way to stay connected and up to date is through the WhatsApp group.

We guarantee a minimum of 3 games. However, as you keep winning, the number of games will increase accordingly.

In the event of a tie between teams in the group stage, the following criteria will be used to determine the ranking:

  1. Number of Wins: The player with the most wins will be ranked higher.
  2. Point Difference: If players have the same number of wins, the player with the better point difference (points scored minus points conceded) will be ranked higher.
  3. Points Scored: If point difference is the same, the player with the most points scored will be ranked higher.
  4. Fewer Points Conceded: If points scored are the same, the player that has conceded fewer points will be ranked higher.
  5. Head-to-Head: If players are still tied, the results of the match between the tied players will be considered.
  6. Higher Head-to-Head Point Difference: If the head-to-head result is tied, the player with the higher point difference in their head-to-head match will be ranked higher.
  7. More Points Scored in Head-to-Head: If the point difference in head-to-head is tied, the player with more points scored in the head-to-head match will be ranked higher.
  8. Fewer Points Conceded in Head-to-Head: If the points scored in head-to-head are also tied, the player that conceded fewer points in the head-to-head match will be ranked higher.
  9. Draw: If all the above criteria are still tied, the final decision will be made by a draw.

Yes! Winners will receive an exclusive La Liga medal and other exclusive prizes. Stay tuned for surprises!

Once you complete your registration and payment, you’ll automatically secure the uniform that corresponds to your division.

Each stage of La Liga has a designated color. The first stage is purple, the second stage is pink, and the third stage is yellow/gold.

If you register but can’t attend, please let us know as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the registration fee is non-refundable, but you’ll still receive your La Liga uniform.

La Liga is an outdoor event, so we play rain or shine unless the weather conditions are dangerous. If we need to reschedule due to extreme weather, we will notify all players via WhatsApp and Instagram.

Yes! We encourage players to train beforehand. We  offer open play sessions and training opportunities—follow our Instagram for more info.

No, players cannot switch divisions during the year. To maximize your chances of moving up in the rankings, it’s important to participate in as many stages as possible.

The more stages you play, the more opportunities you’ll have to earn points for your individual ranking. At the end of the year, the points from all stages will be added up, and players will be promoted or relegated based on their performance.

However, in special circumstances, it may be possible to move to a lower division.

Here’s how the promotion and relegation system works for players in each division:

Division A

  • Promoted to: None.
  • Relegated to: Division B (1 player).

Division B

  • Promoted to: Division A (1 player).
  • Relegated to: Division C (3 players).

Division C

  • Promoted to: Division B (3 players).
  • Relegated to: None.

Division D

  • Promoted to: Division C (1 player).
  • Relegated to: None.

Additionally, SDFTV will have 3 wild cards per division, allowing the promotion or relegation of players based on specific circumstances.

The SDFTV Family WhatsApp Group is a community space where we share important updates and fun moments! In the group, you’ll find announcements for social meetups, off-court events, special discounts with partnered businesses, and of course, some light-hearted fun and banter.

It’s a great way to stay connected with all players in the community and keep up with everything happening both on and off the court.

If you’d like to join the group, just let us know and we’ll add you!
